Manage and run my own consulting business assisting small and mid-sized companies with program/project management. Currently assisting Morsco Supply and affiliated companies in Dallas, TX with their ERP conversion to the Epicor Eclipse platform.

Information Technology Manager / Program Manager (reporting to CIO)

Managed major business transformation efforts supporting a global environment consisting of 7.5K users in over 400 branch offices worldwide. Supervised teams of up to 65 business and IT professionals in infrastructure, global collaboration, ERP, and data center consolidation projects. Managed associated budgets for each effort. Maintained project budget ranging from $5M – $20M while also heavily contributing to, and managing, overall $50M IT budget.

  • Led efforts to drive consolidation of multiple ERP platforms to single Epicor solution, completing conversion on schedule and 20% below $20M budget. This included all phases including order entry, credit, stock replenishment, shipping and accounts receivable. The team included business leaders, project managers and IT resources.
  • Managed frequent C-level staff meetings, updating progress as part of overall governance process, gaining consensus on unpopular but correct business decisions.
  • Consolidated 42 different local email platforms on six continents to single global cloud solution (Office 365), saving company $1M in year 1.
  • Defined roadmap and migration path of existing collaboration and infrastructure tools to cloud solution, allowing organization to leverage existing O365 licenses, and retiring applications that were no longer vendor supported.
  • Renegotiated support agreement with offshore vendor, moving to Support as a Service (SAS) model, and saving $1M over 3 years on Helpdesk costs.
  • Worked with internal and vendor IT groups, setting priorities and resource levels.
  • Managed to scale resources, aligning with annual budget revisions.

 

GENERAL ELECTRIC, (GE Money Bank), Fairfield, CT                                              1999 – 2009

Information Technology Leader (reporting to V.P. Information Technology)

Managed build and support teams responsible for application development for customer service and collections businesses for GE Money Americas. Owned IT budget across multiple GE Money businesses. Led international cross-functional IT team, comprising of over 50 onshore, offshore, and vendor resources.

  • Managed build and implementation of collections data warehouse, enabling incremental annual savings of over $225K.
  • Drove over 10 major collections and recovery initiatives, achieving more than $7MM in business productivity and cost reduction.
  • Led international deployment of multi-tier web-based call center application across 23 contact centers in 5 countries, providing guidance to application run team across various IT disciplines.
  • Spearheaded post-deployment technical support team, comprised of 10 internal resources, 20 onshore vendor resources, and offshore staff, driving availability and improving response time by over 440%, and $6.4M in productivity gains.
  • Oversaw vendor rollout and deployment of compliance call recording system across 23 contact centers internationally, reducing operational expense by $5.5M.
  • Drove expansion of mail tracker system, enabling communication with USPS data to identify potential payments and defer outbound dialing, and saving $1.1MM, annually.
  • Consulted with business leaders, providing strategic technology roadmap to reach business milestones, and collaborating with IT to create viable financial model to achieve success.
  • Recognized great talent and provided mentorship, driving knowledge, expertise, and upward mobility, enabling many to reach leadership positions.
